Brisbane/Gold Coast Australia

Went to Brisbane for a long weekend. It was a lot of fun. This was the view from the hotel:

The hotel pool wasn't too shabby either!

Brisbane has this man-made beach that is right down town. Beautiful water and beaches. And the best part is........SHARKLESS!!! Yeah!~
These birds are brutal. I don't know what they are called, but I watched one fly up and snatch a corn dog and fries from the girls sitting at the table next to me!

This is for anyone who has seen the movie Cars. I found Mater Hospital!

I was walking around town and notice this beautiful sight in the distance! The Brisbane LDS Temple :)
I thought this was a really cool looking tree.

One night they had lights all over the buildings in town. Beautiful architecture and all lit up it was an amazing sight!

There really are some cool looking churches in this world!

This was the moment Crystal tells me "I am not good at taking selfies! I can't ever get them right. How do I get everything in the background?????"
Then I took the picture and it worked, the first time!!! That was when we realized my arms have about 3 inches on Crystals! She has horrible "selfie arms" hahaha. It has become a big joke now that Crystal can't take selfies because her arms are too short.

We decided to drive down to Gold Coast to go to the beach. We were driving through town and all of a sudden were on what appeared to be a race track! There was no way to get off it either until we got to the end. We discovered that the past couple of days downtown Gold Coast hosts the Castorl Edge Gold Coast 600 car race!!! They literally turn the roads downtown into a racetrack with fences and spectator stands! It was really cool!

It was so windy this day, but it was still fun to be at the beach.

Chilling in the Brisbane airport waiting to go home :( The fun always has to end.

My Mom's came to visit-part 3

We took a little hike around Okere Falls down by Rotorua. Lots of gorgeous hikes in this country!
Okere River means "the place of drifting"

Okere Falls are the largest commercially rafted waterfalls in the WORLD!
