Tuesday took me from Rotorua to Tokoroa and then down to Taupo. It really kind of amazed me how often the landscapes would change in just an hour or so of driving.
I am not sure what the yellowish plant is you can see here, but I love them. They are so pretty!!
Sunset at Lake Taupo was probably one of my favorite parts of the day. It was one of the few days the weather was nasty, rainy and windy. But man when the sun came through the clouds it was just phenomenal!! Lake Taupo, I discovered is actually a lake inside a huge caldera! (Again, don't anyone tell Katie that it is a volcano!!)
